Dragon
Dragon
is the most cuddly of his species in the whole of Fairyland. Unlike
his fire-breathing cousins, he is never bad-tempered and his favourite
thing is a hug. He can get sad at times, especially when he hears of
someone being unfriendly or unkind and if he starts to cry, watch out!
His tears are so big, they can drown you if you are very small. So,
of course, the fairies and elves spend a lot of time making sure he
is happy. He likes jokes, so if you know any good ones, send them to
him and he will share the ones he likes the best. He has a tendency
to put on weight, so Fairy Kylie takes him jogging. If you hear a thudding
in the night, it may be Dragon on his exercise run.

Dragons have existed
in the enchanted realms for as long as there have been people to remember.
In China, the red dragon is not feared but celebrated, as a symbol of
luck and prosperity, whereas in many other cultures, the dragon is feared
and needs to be slaughtered, or at least overcome. Our Dragon, like
the dragon in Shrek, is a real charmer. He is not all that fond of donkeys
though, preferring the company of fairies and children.
