Wonderland Tea Parties If you are a fan of Alice in Wonderland, you might like to take a peek at the tea-room in Flying Teapots in Fremantle. Jenny and Rex Diggins, the owners of The Pickled Fairy, have created a magical space where the over sevens can partake in a tea party, Mad Hatter style.
Building on the success of 18 years of fairy parties at The Pickled Fairy, Jenny and Rex decided to create a magical experience for older children who still like their reality tempered with a dose of fantasy.
Get ready to step into another place and time when you meet Alice, who will take you and your guests into the Wonderland tea garden for a terribly elegant tea party, served on the very best china, of course.
When you have finished your tea (learning oh so proper tea etiquette as you go), it is time to test your knowledge of the world of Alice. The Mad Hatter has left a basket full of games in the garden, so all we need to do is put on our rabbit ears and begin!
Be prepared to sing and act and use your imagination!
Naturally, you will want to wear your tea party frock! Or the adventurous may wish to dress as a Wonderland character.
Weekends and weekdays: 11.30am, 2pm, 4pm
Most suitable for ages seven to twelve. Younger siblings who may want to attend are welcome, but will need the supervision of an adult, because of the hot tea and fine china.
Grandmother, mother and daughter gatherings are aslo a fine idea, bringing together all the girls of the family for high tea with a bit of shinnanigans!
Cost: $179 for ten or less, $14 each over that. We recommend max 12 (It can stay ever so genteel then)
Grown ups who want to be in the room for children’s parties need to be part of the party. (and must pretend not to be having TOO much fun!)
